Successful moderation not only draws on various communication and intervention techniques. It also requires a deep understanding of the environment, the situation and the objective.

Recently, I have been increasingly involved as a moderator in talks with external partners. In mergers or acquisitions, involving a moderator with experience in the industry or in a multi-cultural environment will be an advantage.
